Activities and Events of the ITC
February 8th, 2012 – 3rd ITC Core Group Meeting Paris
On 8 February 2012, the 3rd Core Group Meeting of the International Tax Compact (ITC) was held in Paris in order to coordinate the ITC’s regional initiatives in Latin America, Africa and Asia.
Within the meeting, representatives of the key actors in the field of development and taxation – including among others the United Nations (UN), the International Monetary Fund (IMF), the World Bank (WB) and the Organisation for Economic Development and Cooperation (OECD) – agreed that the ITC’s initiatives planned for 2012 will focus on tangible project activities on the ground, contributing to the creation of fairer and more equitable tax systems in developing countries. September 12th–14th, 2011 — ITC Workshop Bonn
Following up on two successful workshops in 2009 and 2010, this year’s ITC workshop continued and further strengthened the cooperation commitments among the ITC partners and develop concrete measures for enhanced development cooperation in order to jointly contribute to the international tax and development agenda. July 5th, 2011 — Final Study on Transfer Pricing and Developing Countries
The European Commission and the International Tax Compact have invited to the presentation of the inception report on February 24 in Brussels. At this occasion also other important initiatives have presented their work on the topic: the OECD Task Force on Tax and Development, the World Bank Group, the African Tax Administration Forum and the United Nations. February 23th, 2011 — 2nd ITC Core Group Meeting Brussels
On 23 February 2011, the 2nd Core Group Meeting of the International Tax Compact (ITC) was held in Brussels, attended by representatives of the African Tax Administration Forum (ATAF), the Inter-American Center of Tax Administrations (CIAT), France, Germany, the Netherlands, Spain, Switzerland, the European Commission (EC), the International Monetary Fund (IMF), the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), the United Nations (UN) and – as an observer – the International Development Law Organization (IDLO).

April 26th, 2010 — 1st ITC Core Group Meeting Brussels
On 26th April 2010, an ITC Core Group Meeting was held in Brussels, attended by representatives of the African Tax Administration Forum (ATAF), the International Center of Tax Administrations (CIAT), France, Germany, the Netherlands, Norway, Spain, Switzerland, the EC, the International Monetary Fund (IMF), the OECD and the United Nations (UN), to agree upon further cooperation commitments to fight tax evasion and tax avoidance.

January 25th–27th, 2010 — ITC Workshop Brussels
On invitation of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development, the Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation and the European Commission, 90 representatives from 24 partner countries and 9 international organizations participated in the International Tax Compact (ITC) workshop ‘Joining Forces to Mobilize Domestic Revenues for Development’ from 25–26 January 2010 in Brussels. March 3rd–4th, 2009 — ITC Workshop Berlin
This meeting emanated from the deliberation at the ‘Follow-up International Conference on Financing for Development’ held in Doha, Qatar, from 29 November to 2 December 2008, to take forward combating tax evasion and inappropriate tax practices, in order to contribute to poverty reduction, Good Governance, and to achieving the Millennium Development Goals.
