The 2020 ATI General Assembly marks an important milestone for the ATI as the initiative will shortly enter a new phase post-2020.

Five years have passed since the launch of the Addis Tax Initiative (ATI) in 2015. Over this time period, the ATI has evolved into an increasingly important player in the field of tax and development. The annual ATI General Assembly provides a valuable opportunity to renew momentum regarding the ATI’s contribution towards financing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) as the ATI Declaration 2025 will be presented to ATI members. The new Declaration 2025 will reaffirm the strong political commitment to implement the Addis Ababa Action Agenda for Financing for Development (AAAA) with special emphasis on actions that improve domestic revenue mobilisation (DRM). In addition, the 2020 ATI General Assembly will see the presentation of the 2018 ATI Monitoring Report, the launch of the online ATI matchmaking platform and the get-together of the new composition of ATI Consultative Groups, in line with the ATI post-2020 commitments.
