Combating Tax Fraud and Cyber Crime

Due to fast digitalization in recent years, today’s world is more interconnected than ever before, but also more vulnerable to cyberattacks.

The workshop will help participants change the way they think about cybersecurity, which is not only an IT but also a legal problem. Participants will discuss possible ways for combating the increased risk of tax fraud in a digital environment. They will examine the processes and operations for preventing, detecting and managing tax fraud. Special attention will be paid to detecting cryptocurrency transactions, and collecting and exchanging data among countries. As countries are taking different approaches to combat fraud, participants will be encouraged to share their experiences and learn from each other.
