Tax Gap Estimation Toolkit Training

The Addis Tax Initiative (ATI) will host an exclusive training session on the newly developed Tax Gap Estimation Toolkit. With the support of the ATI, the United Nations University World Institute for Development Economics Research (UNU-WIDER) has developed a toolkit to estimate the tax compliance gap using the bottom-up approach with machine learning, making the approach accessible to countries that use risk-based or operational audits. Training will be delivered by the UNU-WIDER’s team of researchers who have authored the toolkit over the past several months.

This session is scheduled to take place on 7 and 8 October 2024, from 14:00 to 17:00 CEST on both days

The Tax Gap Estimation Toolkit is designed to support policymakers and tax authorities in identifying and quantifying gaps in tax revenue collection.

During the training, participants will gain valuable insights into the practical application of the toolkit, enabling them to enhance their country’s tax revenue mobilisation efforts. Training would be of most significant benefit to colleagues directly involved in the tax gap estimation analytical tasks in revenue authorities.

Kindly note that attendance to this event is limited to ATI partner country members.
