ITC/ATI Tax and Development Conference
The conference will bring together representatives from partner countries and development partners as well as experts, academics and civil society representatives. It will give all stakeholders an opportunity to connect to each other as well as to present their country/organisation and articulate their respective needs and perspectives.
The conference programme will evolve around the three ATI commitments: 1) Doubling Support to DRM in partner countries, 2) Stepping up DRM, 3) Ensuring Policy Coherence for Development.
It will combine plenary sessions with interactive formats, peer discussions with thematic sessions. The goal is to further the objectives of the Addis Tax Initiative and contribute to reaching its commitments until 2020.

13 October 2016 – First Meeting of Tax Administration Networks
Subsequent to the CIAT Technology Meeting in Miami, regional tax networks came together to kick-off an enhanced cooperation amongst them. Tax networks secretariats representatives discussed how effectiveness and efficiency can be improved by collaborating and sharing information.
11 October 2016 – ITC Parallel Session “Information Technology in Tax Administration in Developing Countries”
During the CIAT Technology Meeting 2016, which was co-hosted by the ITC, the ITC held a parallel session on “Information Technology in Tax Administration in Developing Countries” featuring the presentation of the ITC/KfW study of the same name and followed by group discussions.
29 April 2016 – CIAT/ITC/WB Workshop “Ethics in the Tax Administration”

On 29 April 2016, following the 50th CIAT General Assembly, a one-day workshop on “Ethics in Tax Administration” was held in Mexico City, organized by the ITC, the Inter-American Center of Tax Administrations (CIAT) and the World Bank Group, in collaboration with the Mexican Servicio de Administración Tributaria (SAT).
