SUPPORT FOR DISPLACED FAMILIES WITH DISABLED CHILDREN IN SEVEN REGIONS OF UKRAINE

The intervention is carried out in 7 regions of western Ukraine (Lviv, Rivne, Ivano, Frankivsk, Ternopil, Zakarpattia, Chernivtsi) and aims to support fragile families with disabled children in order to alleviate the humanitarian crisis caused by the Russian invasion. A team of experts, made up of industry representatives non-governmental and municipal organizations providing social services, has developed a programme specific to support these families, displaced and not, in difficulty. The project takes the form of a screening assessment of the needs of each child/family and the subsequent provision of the specific services needed (medical, educational, social services, basic necessities kits, rehabilitation equipment and management of the same families with psychological support to the parents). In 5 months of the project the support of about 700 children/families.
