SSB SUPPORT FOR IMPLEMENTING DIGITAL PUBLIC GOODS FOR IMPROVED TAXATION

The project's main goal is that developing countries have increased tax revenues to finance the sustainability goals. Quality data is essential for both applied research analysis and decision makers. Lack of good statistics and data is a persistent problem in many countries. By helping partner countries to improve the data base that better enables research and analyzes related to tax such as economic statistics and national accounts can pave the way for a more efficient tax system.This project supports two generic IT solutions that are central to the production of statistics. NADABAS is a database solution to produce national accounts and Statbus is a generic IT solution for a statistical business register. Both solutions are open source and aim to be digital public goods that can be used by anyone who produces economic statistics.
