Funding to Phase 2 of the IMF AFRITAC South to provide specialist IMF technical advice and guidance to targeted beneficiary countries.

To improve economic management in target countries in the region by strengthening the ability of government institutions to implement economic reform plans effectively, which will, in turn, facilitate development and inclusive growth. Beneficiary countries include Angola, Botswana, Comoros, Lesotho, Madagascar, Mauritius, Mozambique, Namibia, Seychelles, South Africa, Swaziland, Zambia and Zimbabwe. This programme also contributes to progress on Sustainable Development Goal 16 (more effective and transparent institutions).
